Who Can Apply for Grants?
Providers
can apply once a year (providers in the CCS database are notified
when grants are available)
Licensed
and license-exempt centers, family child care homes, and Group Family
Homes listed in the CCS Database who are currently caring for children
Licensed
and license-exempt centers listed in the CCS Database who are currently
caring for children
How much will maximum grant amounts be in Grant Year 2007/2008?
Programs
that are accredited and programs that complete a self-study or assessment
will be able to apply for a higher funding amount than in previous
years. Programs that are accredited may elect to complete a self-assessment
if they so choose.
Providers
that are not accredited and do not complete a self-assessment will
be able to apply for a grant, but at a lesser maximum amount than
in previous years.

What types of things can providers request?
Facility
Improvements such as fences, egress (exit) windows, etc.
Children's
Equipment such as cribs, child size tables and chairs, outdoor equipment,
etc. Children's materials such as books, puzzles, manipulatives,etc.
Practitioner
Resources such as business computers, professional development resources,
etc.
